Week 9 - Oct 30 - Nov 3

Hey there! It's Halloween week. Our class has great spirit: I hope you all consider wearing a costume to school on Tuesday. It'll be fun!

Other than Tuesday's festivities, here is what we'll work on this week:

Math: We'll start practicing a way of dividing known as the partial quotients strategy. I've moved a video all about the strategy to the top of the sidebar here on the blog. When you get some time, please show this video to your folks.

Reading: Last week we began with reading a What in the World article about cell phones in schools. This week, we'll revisit the article and respond to some questions. The Boundless resumes this week. Be sure to keep working on reading response #3 for the book.

Spooky Story: After making some last-minute changes, we'll take the opportunity to share our stories in small groups. I've written my own tale, too, which I'd like to share with you. We'll get to both of these things on Tuesday.

Science: We will complete our look at the endocrine system. Then we'll begin to look at the nervous system.

Enjoy your week, everyone!
