Here is what to expect from your classes this week:

Language Arts: We will begin a unit on identifying story elements like character, problem and solution. This work will feature picture books! Hooray! On Monday we began with Dogs Don't Do Ballet. Expect group work and then individual work as you develop your understanding of these ideas.

Writing: We will begin to explore the ideas we have stored up in our memories. We'll start to build an idea bank of things we know and experiences we've had. We will also spend some time with Chromebooks learning more efficient ways of presenting your ideas using Google tools.

Science: We'll learn a little about what waste is in our bodies, where it comes from. And we will explore other ways that our bodies eliminate waste.

Math: This week we will turn our attention to number sense and computation strategies review. You'll complete a handful of small SNAP assessments along the way. Be prepared to really show what is going on in your head as you multiply multi-digit values, or what you are thinking as you divide by single-digit divisors.

Movie Monday's second installment is all about procrastination. You'll find the short films we see in advisory on Monday here on the sidebar of the blog.

That's it for now. Enjoy your week, everyone!
