Math - we will continue to investigate triangles this week. You have been introduced to the protractor - a simple tool for measuring angles. You have discovered the sum of the interior angles of a triangle is always the same... (do you remember how many degrees?). We will start the week by looking at how triangles are classified - by angle, and by side length. Do you best to learn and understand the new vocabulary coming your way this week. We will also return to algebra this week, looking at how expressions can be linked to coordinate geometry.
Language Arts - Read-aloud plays are a great way to practice your oral reading and expression. Be sure to bring your big, fluent reader's voice to the play run-throughs we will undertake this week. Have fun with this!
Writing - The 'Sandwich, Personified' writing piece will wrap up this week. Remember that you have multiple revision responsibilities for this one. First, you are to be a reviser for two classmates. Choose the "reviser #1" role for one peer, and the "reviser #2" role for the other. You also have the responsibility to read and consider the changes suggested by your revisers. Finally, make significant changes to your piece to improve not only the Voice that your audience will experience, but the fluency and word choices as well.
Science - This week we will review what we've learned about Newton's 3 laws in preparation for a quiz by the end of the week.
That's all for this week, team! Enjoy!
